1. Estimates are not quotes

Every number this site produces is an informational planning range derived from published price data and documented assumptions (see methodology). It is not a quote, bid, offer, appraisal, or professional advice, and actual project costs can fall outside our ranges. Decisions about hiring, financing, or scoping a project are yours alone; always obtain written quotes from licensed contractors before committing money.

2. No warranty

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to keep data current and correct errors visibly, but we do not guarantee that any figure is free of error or delay.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CostCandor and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its estimates, including decisions made about home projects, contractors, or financing.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the calculators and guides for personal, non-commercial purposes and may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not scrape the site at abusive volume, misrepresent our estimates as quotes from us, or republish substantial portions of the content without permission.

5. Intellectual property

Site content, formulas as expressed here, and design are owned by CostCandor. Underlying public data (e.g., government price indexes) belongs to its respective publishers.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the operator's state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
